Herbal supplements can be very beneficial to us for a lot of reasons. We take them for our overall health, to lose weight and to keep our minds sharp. It’s about time we considered taking them to quit smoking.

Smoker’s often take St. John’s Wort as a means of calming their nerves and anxiety over quitting smoking.
Liver stimulants such as Goldenseal and Oregon Grape Root help remove nicotine from the internal system. Goldenseal is also an anti-inflammatory, a laxative, and antimicrobial and can be used as a digestion aid.
Oregon Grape Root can be used instead of Goldenseal and is also an anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial used in the treatment of infection.
Valerian Root and Passionflower may have a calming effect on some individuals and can very extremely useful when trying to quit smoking. Valerian Root is great for relieving stress, nervousness and anxiety. It can also help with sleep and reduce headaches.
Passionflower is often combined with Valerian Root in order to treat anxiety.
Alfalfa Sprouts are excellent for suppressing the desire to smoke. This is because of their high alkalinity. Alkaline foods have been proven to lower the quantity of nicotine thrown out from urine, which in turn will lower cravings.
The best way to come up with a successful quit smoking supplement regimen for yourself is to make a list of the withdrawal symptoms you’re experiencing as well as any other negatives you think are worth putting a stop to.
