Will lungs improve after quit smoking?

I quit smoking June 7 and I don`t feel any better. I thought that I would be coughing up stuff but I`m not. Is there any lung exercises to help with lung function? I need words of encouragement. THanks

Your lungs can improve up to 30 % but this can take a few months. You may not feel it yet but you have stopped damaging your lungs and that is an improvement. Some think blowing up balloons helps , but just good diet and exercise is the best.
