Applause for all of us here who have quit that muderous garbage. Especially Susan Louise.
I stopped by wearing a rubber band on my wrist and snapping it every time I wanted a cigarette, I also brushed my teeth a lot. The reason I quit was because my son begged me to after seeing so many of the people we knew die of cancer. It took me two tries. Four months until I stopped craving. The tobacco companies put addictive additives in them and even after 15 years of not smoking the urge still arises. But I am stronger than a noxious weed rolled in paper.
My sister quit a month ago using Chantix.

It took me one try, and I don't know how I managed it. I just decided to stop one day and that was it. Poof!
What motivated me was shame, I'd rather not say what happened.

I smoked 2 packs a day for 3 years, I was in bad physical shape to the point where I could barely climb steps without huffing and puffing - I decided I wanted to get in good shape and live a healthy life. And ofcourse the constant worry of cancer was ALWAYS on my mind. I felt like I was just totally screwed because I couldnt quit no matter what !.Tried cold turkey countless times etc... So one day I just got my self a can of Skoal Mint Dipping Tobacco and decided id switch to that and come off of it slowly. Not the best decision but I was at the end of the road to where I was thinking maybe ill just have to smoke until I die or until it kills me. Dip is not at all a safe alternative to smokes and I dont ever recommend trying it because it is known to cause cancer ( Usually of the mouth ) alot quicker than cigarettes can. But I didnt know what to do so I dipped for a few months and eventually weened myself off of it. It was the only thing that worked for me and im glad I am now an ex addict. Its just an awesome feeling.
try healthy cigs
