Question for those who quit smoking during pregnancy?
I am 19 weeks pregnant and I was finally able to kick the habit at 13 weeks pregnant after smoking for 7 years, but when I see someone smoking even if it is on Tv, I want one. If I smell it, I want one and I still think about cigarettes several times a day... How much longer till I dont even acknowledge them anymore??
Answers:
you know I think its different for everyone. I smoked for 10 years and quit when I was 8 weeks now i'm 11. I don't find myself craving them I'm actually grossed out by the smell of them now.
good luck to you though

I quit smoking when i was 12 weeks pregnant and Im 27 weeks pregnant and i still want one, it never really goes away or at least it hasn't for me!
It takes a long time to get rid of those feelings! No matter how long ago you gave up, you are always a smoker; even if you no longer smoke. Nicotine is such a powerful addiction, I tried and failed to quit so many times but I did quit when I found out I was pregnant for my baby's sake, it was very difficult but the cravings do eventually fade, it just takes time to retrain your brain and body not to want those cigarettes anymore and it's hard but it's worth it, I promise! Congratulations on quitting and congratulations on your baby! x
i was lucky i quit smoking because the smell and taste started making me sick and then i found out i was pregnant.
i still have cravings for it but i think its more of the idea of smoking its weird.
