With that attitude you will be. You have to realize that you're letting it control you- take charge! Talk to your doctor about Nicotine patches. They help you get through the withdrawal. It'll be rough, but realize what you're doing it for! Are you doing it or yourself? Your family? Is it costing you a lot? Keep your motivation in mind!

1st step is you have to WANT to quit. Then get on the Nicoderm Patch sytem Use as many as it takes for each step. They work, I quit and I smoked for many years. Almost 2 yrs for me now. Good luck.

You have to wean yourself out of the habit. decreasing the amount you smoke each day. for example, if u smoke 5 cigarette a day, decrease it to four. it takes time but with prayer you will beat this habit.

I have strong will power. Try the patch, and every time you get that urge to lite up sub something else like celery, carrot, chewing gum. Try hypnosis.

Go to a non smoking cafe, park, restaurant etc. and you'll see the difference. Learn their ways of thinking, breed with their kind, and soon your differences will be settled. Good Luck.

All these people obviously have never smoked or they would know it isn't as much about the nicotine as it is about the psychological craving. Here is what I posted on a similar question as the answer. Know that I do not sell electronic cigarettes, I am simply a customer.

Here is a list of places you can buy one (search for the cheapest place and know that there are 3 parts to an electronic cigarette: The battery, the atomiser and the cartridge) The model my mom and I use is the Joye 510. I buy all the parts in bulk to save money. My mom is down on her nicotine level (she uses about a 12mg which is considered low)

www.diyflavorshack.com (for the liquid- it's the best stuff... make sure to get the high nicotine to help you quit. If you smoke regular cigs get the 555 or the RY4 flavor)

www.cigtechs.com

There are really a hundred sites out there but those are the ones I have ordered from before and can vouch for. Initially to start u should have at least 2 batteries, 2 atomisers and a box of cartridges. You will likely use 2ml of liquid a day (the carts get refilled) Then you can buy lower nicotine liquid after you get off the regular cigs.

The initial purchase will run you around 75-100 bucks but that is so worth it considering the health benefits of not smoking tobacco. After you are used to using one, it will be spending the equivalent of about 1.50 a "pack" for the nicotine and less and less as you use it less. You can even get down to 0 nicotine and just use it when you feel the psychological need.

Solution1: invest in sellotape

Solution2: move to the country and never go into a shop again. Grow your own produce, no tobacco plants thou!

Solution3: When craving take a drink or occupy your mouth with something else...

Solution4: tie your hands behind your back

Solution5: Make yourself eat or drink something horrible before and after you have the cigerette.

Solution6: Take a sedative whenever you feel like a cigerate.

Solution7: get rid of your smokey friends

Solution8: get motivated. If you don't have the desire and determination to quit you'll never be able to quit.

Hopefully some other people can come up with some sensible solutions. I've never smoked so I can't really sympathize how difficult it is to stop.

Here's the answer I have another person with the same problem.

I think the reason is we just get use to something always being in our mouth all the time. When I want a cigarette, I usually chew a piece of gum, or suck on a lolly pop. Keep your hands busy. Pick up a hobby. Go out for a walk, jog, bike ride, etc. Keep your mind off the cigarettes. Write down your pro's for making this choice. It saves money, you'll be spending money on more things that benefit yourself, you're not killing yourself, etc. Quitting cold turkey is hard. I know it's been hard for me and I'm guilt of still smoking. But the main reason is, STAY AWAY from people that smoke. I know for a fact that I was trying to avoid smoking and I was around a group of friends and they were smoking and it made me go crazy. And my boyfriend smokes, (we're trying to quit together). You can do it.
