Ex smokers - how long after you found out you were pregnant did you quit smoking?

I found out I was pregnant a week ago and quit yesterday. I know 100% that I WILL NOT smoke again. I'm just wondering how long it took some of you?

Please don't bash me - I know smoking is bad but I quit.

I quit right when I found out, and I don't have any cravings anymore and I'm not going back to smoking.

Congratulations!

It took about 2 weeks after I found out to completely quit. The morning sickness helped a lot because I couldn't stand the smell of cigarettes on my husband's clothes, much less have one near my face. I haven't smoked in over 5 years.

Talk to your doctor if you need help quitting. Good luck!

As soon as I found out at 8 weeks, I didn't smoke again.

I have alot of friends who are saying "aw bet you can't wait for that first cigarette when the baby is here".. and I find it really annoying. Some people are just so unsupportive and don't realize that smoking infront of a baby is just as harmful as smoking when pregnant!

Another thing which is really annoying is when I am with friends and they light up infront of me without any warning or asking if I mind! what makes them think that if im not breathing in that crap for myself, i'm going to breath their smoke in instead!! Really inconsiderate..

Well done for stopping smoking, if it gets difficult, just imagine your little baby and the craving will go away :)

The day the test came back positive is the day I quit smoking. I'll admit I had one or two the day I found out I was pregnant just for old time sake before giving it up for good. Now I can't believe I ever smoked, the smell of smoke on people now makes me sick.
